Some first evers for me were petting Angel, the beautiful moo; Firefly the alpaca is so friendly and Venus the horse will always be in memory! Venus us such a doll, she is so beautiful. Sophie and Ged you did a great job with your farm. I am so happy that I made the decision to have this experience with you. I fully recommend it for everyone, young and old. Perfect quiet getaway, even with children: We spent 3 lovely days with Sophie and Ged, floating on the river with the kids, pony riding for our daughter, the tour to see all the animals, enjoying our fresh breakfast and the tasty dinners prepared by Sophie – thanks again for being such good hosts. The Tree House was a lovely place to stay: nicely decorated, beautiful view, with always wallabies or other animals to watch. Our top stay in Australia! Bieke, Belgium

Great getaway! We highly recommend staying at Avalon. Sophie, Ged and Ben were such lovely people, and were so happy to show us round the farm and answer all our questions. We loved walking through the rain forest and swimming in the creek… we even caught a tasty bass for dinner. The highlight was definitely the animals… they are all so friendly! Idyllic Country Escape: Avalon was a wonderful escape from our busy lives. It allowed us to relax and re-energise and also gave us a fresh perspective on the food that we eat and the impact we have on our environment. The hosts were knowledgeable and passionate about the farm and animals and served us with delicious homemade organic food. The cottage had wonderful views over the river flat. It was one of our best long weekends ever! The hosts were so friendly and helpful, we could not wish for better hosts! Avalon is so far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life, and it is so relaxing and calm there. But there are so many things to do on the farm at the same time! We all (including our 4 yo son) enjoyed feeding fabulous fluffy alpacas, fishing, watching wallabies having their lunch just near our house, etc. We admired beautiful horses and watched how the pigs and chickens were fed. We enjoyed strolling along the beautiful creek in the rainforest and swung on the lianas and even saw a huge yabbie! It was like a real lobster. Unfortunately we failed to catch it. Our son loved the farm and all its habitats. One of the best part of the farm stay was amazing fresh food. The salad just from the garden-bed, the farm pork and beef, homemade jam, farm’s own honey, fresh eggs – all was so delicious! The frittata was the best one we have ever tried, and all from the natural fresh ingredients. The Russian borscht was amazing! You can return there just because of the food! The house itself was so welcoming and homey, with the beautiful furniture and design details in the eco style. We loved our stay and enjoyed it a lot! We highly recommend the Avalon retreat to anybody who wish to relax, to have a real rest, who loves nature and animals and great food! It is a piece of paradise! Arina & Evgeny
