Perfect quiet getaway, even with children

We spent 3 lovely days at Avalon, floating on the river with the kids, pony riding for our daughter, the tour to see all the animals, enjoying our fresh breakfast and the tasty dinners prepared by Sophie – thanks again for being such good hosts. The Tree House was a lovely place to stay: nicely decorated, beautiful view, with always wallabies or other animals to watch. Our top stay in Australia!

Sophie’s journey to create Avalon is as inspiring as the property itself.

Since 2007, she has nurtured the land, rebuilding after the devastation of drought, fires and catastrophic floods. Sophie loves sharing the stories of the land and its many wonders with guests.

Her passion for landscape, native flora and fauna and her own introduced animals make farm tours unforgettable. Sophie will show you the best places to explore, to sit and wait for the platypuses to pop up, and where to swim and soak in the river.

Sophie’s aim is to ensure you return home rested, relaxed and restored. With a little piece of Avalon magic lodged in your heart.

Enjoy meals crafted from the farm’s bounty:

Fresh greens, chillis, garlic, bush lemons, and fragrant herbs from the garden (in season)
Free-range eggs and homegrown beef.
Handmade delicacies like Bolognese, dahl and curries, rich lentil stew, a variety of seasonal soups, as well as Passata and Puttanesca sauces and Dressings made with Love.
