WELCOME TO OUR OASIS

Discover Avalon: Your Riverside Nature Getaway

Escape to Avalon, a magical retreat in the Hastings hinterland of NSW, just 5 hours from Sydney, 90 minutes from Port Macquarie, and 3 hours from Newcastle or Coffs Harbour. Nestled on 400 acres of pristine wilderness, Avalon invites you to explore, unwind, and reconnect with nature.

Choose your ideal off the grid escape:

  • The Tree House: A luxurious yet simple retreat, perfect for couples and small families.
  • The Shepherd’s Hut: Glamping at its finest, combining comfort and adventure.
  • Riverside Camping: Pitch your tent or set up your camper trailer at scenic riverside spots (caravans not permitted).

Nature on Your Doorstep
The bass are aplenty, there are platypus in every pool so you are guaranteed that magical moment seeing these enigmatic creatures in the wild. If you are lucky and roam high in the hills you might even spot a koala!

Farm Life
Our farm animals are friendly – feed the alpacas, stroke the silky sides of Angel the cuddle cow, feel the healing breath of the horses and lean against their sweet smelling sides. Of course, feed the chooks and collect the eggs – taste the difference!

Sustainable Living, Off the Grid
At Avalon, we live in harmony with nature. Powered by the sun, sustained by rainwater, and committed to waste minimalism, we model sustainable living in action. Whether you’re seeking peace, adventure, or inspiration to “get away from it all,” Avalon is your haven.

Such an amazing place well away from the racket of the city. Absolutely loved the cabin with everything we needed for our stay, the bowl of eggs made for a very welcome gift.
Sophie was an excepional host, driving us around the property, showing us places to check out & things we could do while there as well us introducing us to the animals. The little one was captivated by the cows and horses. The mini rainforest was so cool and the streams were so beautiful to set up next to and chill out.

We had an incredibly relaxing time and can’t wait to come back & explore more.
