The farm was so serene, peaceful and beautiful. The fireplace got a good workout during our stay (best!) and the animals were friendly. The three farm dogs were so friendly and beautiful, they were truly the cherry on top!
I don’t usually book private rentals. I find them to be impersonal, a little stingy and although tidy, they’re always dirty with dirty cutlery and plates that haven’t been washed properly. Avalon Retreat, however, was immaculate. Not one fork with baked on food, not a crumb on the floor, no mould in the shower. This is especially impressive given the house sits on a farm.
Also, a basket full of toilet paper. It sounds like a little thing, but being left one toilet paper roll when staying for the weekend is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine. So I appreciate the fact Sophie has ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible 🙂
